Detailed description of project Type of services provided
The project with a four years horizon deals with an examination of spatial change of functional integrated territories (urban, peri-urban, rural). The research aims to identify evidence-based strategies to strengthen effective policy coordination and co-operation at local levels among relevant stakeholders. The particular task of PRAC is the elaboration and testing of adequate quantitative methods to assess patterns of spatial dependence and spatial heterogeneity. Compiling the state of the art in research, data availability and pilot studies using micro-geographical grid data and nocturnal satellite images are at the core of the project activities on the part of PRAC. Apart from that, several studies at country level dealing with the topic “new businesses & labour markets” are coordinated by PRAC. The budget for PRAC is at Euro 505,000.-.

Within the ongoing evaluation of the EULLE programme, PRAC has been responsible for the measures on rural infrastructure, infrastructure in viniculture and flood protection. Further to that assistance to the reporting on the Partnership Agreement at programme level is provided.
